Senior Living community’s commitment to serving seniors with the highest standards recognized

DAVENPORT, IA (January 19, 2017) – Senior Star at Elmore Place is proud to announce today that it has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

This decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and demonstrates Senior Star’s substantial conformance to more than 1500 CARF standards for quality and pursuit of excellence. Senior Star at Elmore Place was awarded this honor in the following programs:  Assisted Living, Dementia Care Specialty and Independent Senior Living.  This distinction places Senior Star at Elmore Place as the only senior living community to hold CARF accreditation in each of these categories in the state of Iowa.

Achieving the high standards required to becoming accredited and continually raising the bar with a focus on excellence is the hallmark of Senior Star’s culture.  As an organization that provides direct services to people, Senior Star believes it has an obligation and responsibility to deliver the best in care, services, business operations and support to older adults and their families.  To follow through on that obligation, seeking CARF accreditation was a priority.

Choosing to be accredited by CARF is voluntary and a testament to Senior Star’s unwavering commitment to improve the quality of lives for the older adults and families in their care.  The team at Senior Star at Elmore Place went through a rigorous peer review process, which confirmed that their wide range of programs and services are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.  “This accreditation validates our commitment to excellence when it comes to serving older-adults and their families,” said Marc Strohschein, executive director of Senior Star at Elmore Place.
