WASHINGTON DC (August 15, 2019) — Senators Ron Johnson (R-WI), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Charles "Chuck" Grassley (R-IA), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr today asking for his commitment to publicly release the results of the FBI and inspector general investigations into the recent death of Jeffrey Epstein while in federal custody.

“We fully support your call for a thorough investigation of the circumstances surrounding Mr Epstein’s death,” the sens wrote. “True accountability, however, especially for the victims of Mr Epstein, requires full transparency.”
