“Our main focus is to have members of the community come out for an enjoyable evening and to hear why our cause and movement through this campaign is so important for the future of the Sheriff’s Office and this community. The intent is to provide an insight on the importance of teamwork guided by strong leadership through hard work and perseverance while maintaining a high standard of ethics and morals. There needs to be positive changes in the Sheriff’s Office so our employees can provide leadership to the citizens of our communities while protecting and serving them. My knowledge, experience and education through my military and law enforcement career has prepared me for this mission. No one in this agency has more leadership training and experience, more multijurisdictional experience or formal education than I do and I am prepared to serve this community while refocusing the efforts of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office as cultural and societal norms have changed.” (Chris Laye)
