DAVENPORT — Masters and doctoral level alumni seeking continuing education along with a lasting connection with their graduate school and classmates will find that in the new St. Ambrose University College of Business Forever Masters™ program.
Alumni of COB graduate degree programs — H. L. McLaughlin Master of Business Administration, Master of Organizational Leadership, Master of Accounting, and Doctor of Business Administration — are automatically members of the Forever Masters™ community and will enjoy an array of new benefits.
These include:
· access to training and professional advancement through the St. Ambrose Professional Development Center;
· an open invitation to special events throughout the year;
· and interactive sharing of digital content important and relevant to the 21st Century business professional via email and social media.
The goal of Forever Masters™ is to become the valued and essential resource for professional development and growth of alumni of SAU College of Business post-graduate programs, said Randy Richards, PhD, Director of the MBA Program.
“This is a significant engagement opportunity our grads long have been requesting,” Richards said. “It is also an important value-added bonus to their degrees. We can provide them the training and information they will need to continue to grow and advance in their careers.”
To introduce the Forever Masters™ program, the St. Ambrose College of Business has partnered with Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, Black Hawk College and the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce to bring acclaimed business writer and editor and long-established business communication visionary Art Kleiner to the Quad Cities as keynote speaker for a series of launch events on May 1 and May 2.
On May 1 at 7 p.m. in the Rogalski Center at St. Ambrose, Kleiner will be the featured speaker at the first Forever Masters™ event. He will address the topic "Your Foothold in the Renaissance: The Strategic Value of Life Long Learning in Business.” The event is free and open to the public.
On May 2, Kleiner will speak to members of the QC Chamber and select guests at a 7:30 a.m. breakfast at the Rogalski Center. His topic will be “Strategy That Works.”
Kleiner is a writer, lecturer, and consultant, with backgrounds in management, interactive media, corporate environmentalism, scenario planning, and organizational learning. He began writing about telecommunications, computer conferencing and computer technology in 1979.
He is currently the Editor and Chief of Strategy and Business, PWC's global management magazine. With more than 1.3 million readers, the magazine is recognized for its distinctive coverage of business thought leadership and issues facing decision-makers.
