DAVENPORT, IOWA (July 5, 2023) — Jesus Christ Superstar is a captivating depiction of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, featuring unforgettable musical performances and theatrical excellence. To commemorate this milestone, the Galvin Fine Arts Center at St Ambrose University (SAU) will be hosting a special film screening of Jesus Christ Superstar, followed by an exclusive meet-and-greet with Ted Neeley, the film’s lead actor. The combination of the timeless story, breathtaking performances, and the opportunity to meet Neeley himself promises to create memories that will last a lifetime.

The community is invited to join us for this one-time screening at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023. Tickets are available for purchase at sau.edu/galvin or by calling 563-333-6251. The Galvin Fine Arts Center Ticket Office is open 8:30AM-4:30PM, Monday through Friday, and one hour before performances.

Ticket prices are as follows: $20 general admission, $15 economy seating, and 50% off for SAU faculty, staff, and alumni. Purchase twenty tickets or more to get a group rate at 25% off on the main floor or 20% off in the bays. SAU students with current valid student ID may attend at no cost.

The original Jesus Chris Superstar movie débuted in 1973 and was directed by Paul Thomas, with lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
