DES MOINES, IOWA (July 19, 2019) — The State of Iowa is seeking and collecting information from impacted residents following the Mississippi Flooding that took place in April and May 2019. The state seeks to gather feedback on housing impacts and unmet needs experienced by residents as a result of the extensive river flooding. This information from residents will allow the state to request additional funds from Congress. The State of Iowa will begin developing and quickly implementing potential programs should the State of Iowa be awarded additional federal disaster funding.
