DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 1, 2022) — The Davenport Public Library will be hosting a Kick-off to Summer Reading Celebration on Saturday, June 4, Fairmount, 10AM.
Join us in the Fairmount Branch parking lot as we kick off our 2022 Summer Reading Program: Read Beyond the Beaten Path. Decorate our parking lot with sidewalk chalk, play giant games, check out the bubble stations, discover Davenport history at the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center table, and try your hand at dunking a staff member from your school in our dunk tank! Staff schedule coming soon.
Everyone (ages 0-19) in attendance who signs up for our Summer Reading Program will receive a brand-new free book. We'll also have cool treats and lots of giveaways!

About the Davenport Public Library
The Davenport Public Library is the municipal library for the City of Davenport, Iowa, serving a population of 102,196 residents. The Library has three conveniently located facilities: Main, Fairmount, and Eastern. Main is also the home of the Richardson-Sloane Special Collections Center, which focuses on local history and genealogy.
