ROCK FALLS, ILLINOIS (October 6, 2026) — Rock Falls Tourism is excited to bring back one of our favorite Halloween traditions! Join us for the Third Annual Spooktacular Halloween Lighted Golf Cart and UTV Parade on Saturday, October 17, 2026, 6:30PM, in downtown Rock Falls.

This crowd-favorite event brings Halloween fun to the streets as West 2nd Street fills with spectators enjoying a parade of creatively decorated, Halloween-themed golf carts and UTVs. Gather your family, friends, and neighbors for a fun-filled evening! Spectators are encouraged to line the parade route and enjoy the spooky sights. Please remember to be respectful of private property.

Parade Route

The parade will begin at Grace Avenue (Rock Falls High School), proceed to West 2nd Street, continue to 2nd Avenue, then to 1st Street, and finish at the parking lot on the corner of 1st Street and 4th Avenue where the spectators can gather to view the parade entries.

Street Closures Streets along the parade route will be closed from approximately 6:15-8PM.

WANT TO BE A PARTICIPANT IN THE PARADE WITH YOUR GOLF CART OR UTV:

Choose a theme. Dress in costume. Decorate your golf cart or UTV.

Registration: Advance registration is required. No walk-up entries will be accepted.

Entry Fees:

• $10 — Golf carts/UTVs already registered with the City of Rock Falls

• $20 — One-day permit for golf carts/UTVs not registered with the City of Rock Falls

Parade Rules

1. Golf carts and UTVs only.

2. Advance registration is required. No walk-up entries will be accepted.

3. Trailer parking is available in the back parking lot of Rock Falls High School. The lot will open at 5PM.

4. Only registered parade entrants are allowed in the back parking lot of Rock Falls High School.

5. Lineup will take place in the back parking lot of Rock Falls High School.

6. Parade step-off will begin promptly at 6:30PM.

7. The number of participants per entry may not exceed the recommended capacity of the golf cart or UTV.

8. Each entry must be at least 50% decorated.

9. Decorations must be Halloween-themed, family-friendly, and in good taste.

10. Candy may be thrown, but please do so with caution to help ensure everyone's safety.

11. All vehicles and trailers must be removed from the Rock Falls High School parking lot by 10PM.

12. Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate removal from the event.
