MOUNT CARROLL – Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP), the premier professional summer theatre of northwest Illinois, announces Local Auditions for the 2018 Summer Season productions of Beauty and the Beast, Born Yesterday, The Full Monty and Fiddler on the Roof to be held at the West Carroll Middle School in Mt. Carroll on Saturday, February 17 from 10:00 until 5:00.

TLP’s Artistic Director, Paul Stancato, will be on hand to cast several youth and adult actors for the following roles:

Ø  ONE child for the role of Chip in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Ø  ONE male child age 10 to 12 for the role of Nathan (12 years old) in THE FULL MONTY

Ø  Up to EIGHT CHILDREN for the ensemble in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST & FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.

Ø  TWO female children ages 8 to 12 for the roles of Shprintze & Bielke in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

Ø  FOUR ADULT ACTORS for small roles in BORN YESTERDAY

Ø  FOUR teens for the dance ensemble in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST & FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

Ø  Up to TWELVE ADULTS for the ensembles of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST & FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

If you are interested in auditioning for one or more of the above roles, email Timber Lake Playhouse at info@timberlakeplayhouse.org with the subject line: “Local Auditions” or call the Administrative Office at (815) 244-2048 on Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00 until 3:00 for an audition appointment. Please include the full name of the person auditioning, parent or guardian names if under 18, time frame that they are available to audition on the 17th and WHICH PRODUCTIONS AND ROLES THEY WILL BE AUDITIONING FORYou will receive a reply with an appointment time to come in on the 17th.

Performers must prepare a song to sing with an accompanist (no more than 32 bars).  Songs from the show or in the style of the show are encouraged.  Bring sheet music for the accompanist as no one will be allowed to sing without accompaniment.  You may be asked to read from a script of the show or attend a dance call as a part of your audition.  Visit our website at www.timberlakeplayhouse.org for specific audition requirements for each role.

TLP is also seeking strong non-union actors for The Full Monty and Fiddler On the Roof for the roles of Horse and Jeanette in The Full Monty and Golde, Lazar and Yente in Fiddler On the Roof.  Special appointment auditions for these roles may be arranged in Chicago or in Mount Carroll.
