DAVENPORT, IOWA (February 22, 2021) — Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE virtual workshop for children impacted by cancer on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, 5-5:45PM, via Zoom.

Led by author and breast cancer survivor, Sharon Frances (Chappell) this workshop will use spatter-watercolor paint and participants will find tiny creatures in the results. This art process helps us move through the unexpected to discover something delightful.

Sharon Frances (Chappell) is a breast-cancer survivor, parent, educator, writer/artist, and co-founder of Well Beings Studio, a non-profit that engages the arts to support children, teens, and families impacted by cancer, other traumas, and hardships.

Materials needed are watercolor palette with brush, pen/markers, white paper, cup of water, and paper towels.

Paint and bushes will be provided with a free pick-up if participants RSVP by 12PM on March 5.

Children impacted by cancer and their families are invited to attend. Registration is required at http://www.gildasclubqc.org/calendar. For questions, please call Gilda’s Club at 563-326-7504 or e-mail gc@gildasclubqc.org.
