Super St. Patrick's Weekend
It's the running o' the green at the annual CASI St. Patrick's Day Races on Saturday, Mar. 17, in downtown Davenport, Iowa, with a 1-mile family fun run/walk and a 5K race beginning at 9 am.
You'll be done with the run in plenty of time to see the 33rd annual Grand Parade on St. Patrick's Day with floats, bands, and family clans. The parade starts at 11:30 a.m. in downtown Rock Island, Ill. The parade proceeds through Rock Island to the Centennial Bridge, and then crosses the bridge over the Mississippi River and marches into downtown Davenport, Iowa.
Immediately following the parade, a Post Parade Bash with food, drink, and Irish music and dancers is held at the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport.
The Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds hosts a new St. Patrick's Day Bash on March 16-17 in their huge, indoor event hall with live music, food, drink, games, Irish dancers, and the Flying Leprechauns.
 
Relax in the Spring Atmosphere
We're ready to see green grass and flowers blooming! Even if the warm weather isn't here yet, the QCCA Flower & Garden Show on March 23-25 will be full of beautiful landscapes. Get ideas for your garden and outdoor landscaping projects at the QCCA Expo Center. Some other indoor gardens to look at while you're here include the Quad City Botanical Center, which has an orchid show on March 24-25 and Vander Veer Botanical Park has spring flowers on display and the Easter Lilies April 10-22.
March Brings Great Performances
This Broadway production of Cinderella gives the beloved tale of a young woman who is transformed from a chambermaid into a princess a fresh, new take on March 7 at the Adler Theatre.
 
Alice Cooper, REO Speedwagon & Styx, and Brad Paisley are all coming to the  TaxSlayer Center in March.
 
Tumble down the rabbit hole with Ballet Quad Cities in a fun-filled fantasy adventure on March 24 for all ages! This world premiere, full-scale production of Alice in Wonderland features your favorite characters as the Mad Hatters of music, Orchestra Iowa, bring to life Tchaikovsky's colorful score.
 
The Church Basement Ladies are back at Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse with a new series production of "Rise Up, O Men!" starting March 28. Find out what happens when men are allowed in the church kitchen.
 
Anthony Gomes, #1 Billboard Blues Artist, is a triple threat force as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. He's shared the stage with B.B. King, Alice Cooper, and others and he'll be at the River Music Experience on March 31.
