DAVENPORT, IOWA (September 5, 2025) — There’s still time to register for the Tour of the Heartland, an annual bicycle ride sponsored by the Quad Cities Bicycle Club that gives participants a chance to “Choose Your Challenge.”
The Tour of the Heartland will be held on Saturday, September 13. The ride starts and ends at the Geneseo Brewing Company in downtown Geneseo. Riders can depart beginning at 7AM, with SAG support available at GBC through 5PM.
The Tour of the Heartland offers the option of taking four different loops of approximately 25 miles. Each loop winds through paved country roads in and around Geneseo. You can take one loop for 25 miles, two for fifty miles, three for 75 miles, and — if you’re up to the challenge — take all four and complete a century.
The cost to register for the ride is $70 for members of the Quad Cities Bicycle Club and $75 for non-members. The price includes a hot lunch with dessert served at Geneseo Brewing, with live music provided by “TAG — the Dynamic Duo” at GBC’s outdoor seating area during the afternoon. In addition, the Trek Store in Davenport will set up a booth displaying and demonstrating electric bicycles, which continue to increase in popularity and are welcome on the Tour of the Heartland.
A portion of all registration fees will be donated to the Seal Family Legacy, a charity based in Davenport that supports Gold Star families — those with members who gave lives in service to our nation.
