DAVENPORT, IOWA (March 25, 2026) — Registration is now open for the Tour of the Mississippi River Valley, a popular and iconic two-day ride sponsored by the Quad Cities Bicycle Club.
TOMRV (pronounced “TOM-Rahv”) will take place the weekend of June 6-7. The TOMRV route will take cyclists along the Mississippi River Valley, with an overnight stop in Dubuque. This year’s TOMRV route will be in Iowa only, due to construction on the Illinois side.

The cost to register for TOMRV is $219, a price that increases to $239 if you register after May 31. One-day riders can register for $109, with that price also increasing on May 31 to $139. Note that no refunds will be offered.
QCBC members in good standing will receive a $20 discount on the registration fee. Membership in the club is open to anyone; you can join and learn more via this link: QCBCMembership.
All proceeds from the ride will be used to support the mission of the Quad Cities Bicycle Club, an organization which promotes, encourages, and supports the safe participation in bicycle riding for people of all ages and abilities, and anticipates and addresses the needs and interests of all aspects of bicycling in the Quad Cities area.
Cyclists registering for TOMRV will start the ride on Saturday, June 6, from one of two locations: The Isle Casino Hotel in Bettendorf, Iowa, and Northeast High School in Goose Lake, Iowa. Those starting from Bettendorf will go on a “century ride” covering about 108 miles, with an optional longer route covering 113 miles. The shorter route from Goose Lake will cover about 72 miles.
The TOMRV routes on Sunday from Dubuque will cover about 95 miles, for those returning to Bettendorf (with an optional century loop), and about 52 miles for those returning to Goose Lake.
Baggage transportation from Bettendorf and Goose Lake to Dubuque is offered as part of the TOMRV registration fee. No transportation will be available between Bettendorf and Goose Lake.
TOMRV cyclists can park their vehicles for free throughout the weekend at both the Isle Casino Hotel and Northeast High School.
Overnight accommodations for TOMRV riders are offered at Loras College. Camping options are also available. The cost of both lodging at the college and camping is separate from the TOMRV registration fee.
If you’d prefer other lodging, your baggage can be transported to any hotel within five miles of Loras College. Note that a block of rooms for TOMRV riders has been set aside at the Days Inn in Dubuque; be sure to ask for the TOMRV group rate when you make reservations.
Those staying at Loras will have access to showers and restrooms. TOMRV riders can leave their bicycles overnight in a secure storage area that will be set up at the college.
The registration fee includes a buffet dinner that will be served in the Loras cafeteria. One-day riders can partake of the dinner for an additional $20, which would bring the one-day total to $139 ($159 after May 31).
The dinner, bicycle storage, and other services will be available to those who choose not to stay overnight at Loras College and arrange for alternate lodging.
As in past TOMRVs, the routes will offer beautiful scenery and a variety of terrains, from flat stretches to climbs up hills and bluffs. Support from certified bicycle mechanics will be available along the route.
Cyclists can pause at rest stops that will be stocked with snacks and drinks. Six rest stops will be available on Saturday, and five on Sunday. The Saturday ride will include a lunch stop in Bellevue, where sandwiches will be served.
Packet pickup will take place at the Isle Casino Hotel during the evening on Friday, June 5, at hours to be determined, and on Saturday morning both at the Isle Casino and at Northeast High School in Goose Lake. All packets will include a t-shirt marked with this year’s TOMRV logo. Cycling jerseys are available for sale at an additional cost.
The Tour of the Mississippi River Valley began in 1978 in the form of a two-day ride on a July weekend between Davenport and Burlington. This year’s ride will be the 47th TOMRV; the ride was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, and not held in 2023 and 2024 before returning last year.
