We have added a free optional tour of the John Deere Headquarters from 4:15PM-5:00.

The Quad City Engineering and Science Council (QCESC) is excited to invite you to attend our 57th Annual Banquet on Thursday February 21, 2019 at the John Deere Worldwide Headquarters,1 John Deere Place, Moline, Illinois.

Everyone, including students, are cordially invited to attend this annual premier, inspiring event to celebrate, network and showcase the great Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Professionals and Educators in the Quad Cities region. The event is being held during Engineer Week (E-week).

$35 for Adults; $25 for Full-Time Student with ID.

Includes heavy appetizers with cash bar.

Keynote Presentation:

"Building a Bridge for the Future: I-74 Mississippi River Bridge Project"

The I-74 Mississippi River Bridge project is part of a regional strategy to improve the I-74 corridor and access across the Mississippi River in the Quad Cities. The $1.2 billion project is one of the largest and most complicated active public projects in the US and in Quad Cities history.

Keynote Presenter — George Ryan

George Ryan is the corridor manager and Vice President, Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions.

Prior to joining Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions, he performed multiple roles for the Illinois Department of Transportation during a 34-year career. Mr Ryan has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Bradley University.

Event Schedule

  • OPTIONAL 4:15-5:00 — Tour of Deere Headquarters — gather on the walkway at the security vestibule entrance at 4:00.
  • 5:00-6:25 — Networking with Social on Display Floor with Cash Bar and Heavy Appetizers. Enjoy the STEM Displays by students, technical societies and educational institutions.
  • 6:30-8:30 — Program in John Deere Auditorium includes our Keynote speaker on the I-74 Corridor, Scholarship presentations and Professional awards.
