DAVENPORT, IOWA (February 10, 2026) The Vera French Foundation will hold a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the brand-new Carol’s Village Gardens on Friday, April 24, 10:30AM. The new housing development is located at 820 Harrison St in Davenport, Iowa.
Located on the campus of Vera French’s Carol Center (808 North Harrison), Carol’s Village Gardens (CVG) is a brand new thirty-unit housing development, developed jointly by the Vera French Community Mental Health Center, Vera French Housing, and the Vera French Foundation. The Carol Center is located on Harrison Street just west of Davenport Central High School. The campus is at the southern end of the Hilltop Campus Village and right before the northern boundary of downtown Davenport.
Safe and supportive housing, which is affordable, is critical for a person’s overall well-being. With the community’s help, they can improve the lives of local people, lower the stress and strain on the public systems, and create positive change. They are passionate about the people they serve and the Quad Cities community.
