DIXON, IOWA (November 12, 2025) — On Saturday, November 22, at 10AM, there will be a Native Mushroom ID and Foray program held at the Wapsi River Environmental Education Center in Dixon, Iowa.

Join Naturalist Becky to learn about native Iowa mushrooms.

You will learn about the mushroom life cycle, how to identify native mushrooms, and which seasons they grow.

Then, we will take a hike outdoors to identify some of the fall mushrooms available during this time.

This is a FREE program. Online registration is required.

The Wapsi River Environmental Education Center can be found six miles south of Wheatland or one mile northwest of Dixon, Iowa, by taking County Road Y4E, then turning north at 52nd Avenue, and following the signs for about one mile.
