DAVENPORT, IOWA (October 11, 2023) Thank you so much to anyone who has already signed on as pioneers for our initial Raccoon Motel monthly Club offerings! We are just twenty members short of being able to make our first Club-sponsored show free so please check out all of the goods and what we're offering on a monthly basis to help the cause and get you some fun shit along the way! We have just packed up Month One tees, debris and critter items — all of which should be in club member hands in a few days so keep your eyes posted for all of that. You'll see what the first tee looked like on our socials later today or tomorrow, but above you'll see the exclusive shirt that will only be available to Month 2 club members. If you know us AT ALL, you know that we are MASSIVE Alf fans and this is probably our favorite T-shirt design to date so please hop on board and share the photo of this tee if you're as rabid for it as we are!

PERSONAL PLUG

During my ten years of Daytrotter, I wrote nearly 12,000 essays about the bands that we recorded and presented to the world. It was what I loved and then I got burnt out on it. I found my love and energy for writing again a few years ago and have been working on it regularly and decided to start letting some of these pieces out into the world again. Most of this stuff currently is in prose fiction form, but I am going to be doing some essays and interviews with artists on this substack page I created as well. So, if you just want to see what the lines look like now and maybe catch some fun exclusive content involving the fascinating people who appear in our clubs, give a looksie.

SOMETHING ELSE

It's hard to keep everything straight sometimes and we get that. We put on lots of shows. We get that also. We thought we'd try to make it easier for you to know when they are happening and to give you more information about performers — links to music, what other bands they may be similar to, etc. We built out a Google Calendar called Raccoon Motel Hot Tips that you can now subscribe to. That way you can set alerts for shows you don't want to miss and stay in close proximity to all the action you need to get you to the promised land. GO HERE NOW AND LET YOURSELF IN!
