The Scott County Family Y Offers Seasonal Fun for Everyone

DAVENPORT, Iowa - October 21, 2009 - It's that time of year - time for spooky, silly fun.  That's exactly what will take place at the North Family YMCA on Friday, October 23, from 5:30-8:00p.m., at "Halloween at the YMCA."

This year's event is a family spooktacular and will give all the ghosts and ghouls a night of Halloween fun with unlimited visits to the YMCA Haunted House, holiday crafts and games and much more.  Families are invited to dress-up and participate in the Halloween costume contest.  Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed.

"Halloween at the YMCA" is a safe and imaginative experience for kids of all ages," said Angela Rodriguez-Finch, Membership Director, North Family YMCA.  "All of us here at the YMCA believe it's a time to be a creative with costumes, decorations and games while making this night a fun without the worry that our children are in harms way."

"Halloween at the YMCA" is from 5:30-8:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, at the North Family YMCA, 624 West 53rd Street, Davenport. The YMCA will run a "lights on" haunted house for younger trick-or-treaters from 6:00-6:30pm.  Festivities are $5.00 per YMCA member families and $10 per family for community-members.  For more information about this event call (563) 391-777 or log onto www.scottcountyfamilyy.org.
