MOLINE, ILLINOIS – WQPT is holding their annual Ready to Learn Early Childhood Conference on April 22.

Since 1995, WQPT’s Ready To Learn Conference has offered early childhood educators and others the opportunity to get together and learn important, up-to-date information in their field and receive professional development credit.

“We are offering over 31 different workshops on a variety of topics related to early childhood learning and development,” said Michael Carton, WQPT Educational Outreach Director. Among the topics offered are: Taming the Terrible Twos, Helping Kids Eat and Be Healthy, Observing and Assessing Children, Let’s Explore with WQPT’s Mr. Scott and how to use PBS LearningMedia.

A $25 registration fee includes a light breakfast, a free book, and the chance to win door prizes. Participants will also receive training certificates for 3 hours of credit.

The conference is scheduled for Saturday, April 22 at Western Illinois University – Quad Cities at 3300 River Drive, Moline from 9:00am – 12:30pm (doors open at 8am).
