DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 11, 2021) — Art Along the River, a series of art opportunities where attendees can participate and learn about different art forms will be held one Sunday a month all summer starting with the May 23 session on songwriting.
David G Smith, a singer-songwriter from Blue Grass, Iowa, shaded in Americana/Folk/Acoustic music, will lead a session to create and answer questions like: How is a song put together? What’s a hook? What comes first, the words or the music? As well as related topics. Supplies are provided. No prior skill, instrument, or experience needed. Participants should bring a chair. The event is $10 or free to River Action members.
