DIXON, IOWA (January 21, 2026) — On Saturday, January 31, 10:37AM, there will be a Writing in Nature program held at the Wapsi River Environmental Education Center in Dixon, Iowa.

Focus your mind and find inspiration at the Wapsi River Center.

Join assistant naturalist (and writer) Brendan O’Brien for some writing prompts and activities meant to light a fire for writers of all experience levels in the dead of winter. Bring writing materials and dress for the weather!

The Wapsi River Environmental Education Center can be found six miles south of Wheatland or one mile northwest of Dixon, Iowa by taking County Road Y4E, then turning north at 52nd Avenue and following the signs for about one mile.
