DES MOINES, IOWA (August 8, 2019) — "Captain," the 3 ½ year old Crossbred bested the competition to claim the Big Boar title at the 2019 Iowa State Fair, weighing 1254 pounds.

The winning entry is owned by Bryan and Tricia Britt of Monticello.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 8, 2019) — "DLH Upward 122," the 2,710 pound Angus bull owned by DLH Angus of Indianola, outweighed the competition to win the Super Bull contest judged Thursday at the 2019 Iowa State Fair.

Triple M Farms of Bloomfield took second place with their 2,624 pound Hereford bull, "Domino," and 2GTHR Chianina of Polk City took third place with their 2,526 pound Chianina bull, "Mamma's Boy."

COAL VALLEY, ILLINOIS (August 8, 2019) — Our biggest Adult fundraising event of the year, Pints for Preservation, will take place on Friday, August 23, at Niabi Zoo (13010 Niabi Zoo Road, Coal Valley, Illinois 61240).
