WASHINGTON DC (June 6, 2019) — Today, President Donald J Trump signed into law HR2157, the “Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act of 2019.” This critical bipartisan legislation provides $19.1 billion to help Americans recover from the catastrophic disasters that have struck the nation in the past three years.  The Act includes $4.5 billion to the Department of Agriculture (USDA) for agricultural-related losses, emergency timber-restoration, farmland-repair, and waters

Six River Bandits Earn All-Star Selection

DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 5, 2019) — The Midwest League released the rosters for the 55th annual Midwest League All-Star Game on Wednesday morning. River Bandits position-players Austin Dennis, Jeremy Pena, Cesar Salazar, and Trey Dawson as well as pitchers Austin Hansen and Matt Ruppenthal have been selected to represent the Western Division in the midsummer classic. The game will take place on Tuesday, June 18, at Four Winds Field in South Bend, Indiana.

EPA Announces $1.6 Million in Brownfield Grants for Dubuque, Fort Dodge, and Oskaloosa to Address Contaminated Properties in Iowa

LENEXA, KANSAS (June 5, 2019) — Today, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is announcing that the cities of Dubuque, Fort Dodge, and Oskaloosa, Iowa have been selected to receive $1.6 million in EPA Brownfields funding through the Multipurpose, Assessment, and Cleanup (MAC) Grant program. These funds will help assess and clean up abandoned industrial and commercial properties in these communities.

Rep Dave Loebsack Announces $160,200 Grant for Clinton Municipal Airport

WASHINGTON DC (June 5, 2019) — Representative Dave Loebsack announced today that the Clinton Municipal Airport will receive a $160,200 grant from the US Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant program. The funding will be used to reconstruct 250 feet of the existing taxiway pavement that has reached the end of its useful life.
