DAVENPORT, IOWA (May 1, 2019) — Do you have fines? The entire month of May, the Davenport Public Library is participating in Read Away Your Fines! Simply stop by any of our three locations at the Service Desk and tell them you are interested in reading away your fines. The staff will give you a bookmark to take home. Each book on the bookmark represents one hour of reading and $4 of fines. The books on the back are separated into 15 minute sections.

EASTLAKE, OHIO (May 1, 2019) — The Quad Cities River Bandits had their game with the Lake County Captains suspended in the top of the first inning on Wednesday night at Classic Park. The game will be resumed on Thursday morning at 10AM. It will be a nine-inning contest with a seven-inning game to follow 30 minutes after the first concludes.

For the second year, the behind-the-scenes event series will allow Fairgoers 21 and over to experience exclusive Fair sights, sounds and tastes.
