PRESS RELEASE (February 20, 2019) — University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh officials have announced students who qualified for the University Dean's List and Honor Roll in Fall 2018 across all three campuses (Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, and Fox Valley). To qualify for the honor roll on the UW Oshkosh campus, a student must take at least 12 credits and earn a grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.3 (out of a possible 4.0). Those with a GPA of 3.75 or better qualify for the Dean's List.

WASHINGTON DC (February 20, 2019) — In a unanimous ruling that is expected to curb attempts by local and state governments to increase their revenue by seizing private property using excessive, arbitrary asset forfeiture laws, a unanimous US Supreme Court has ruled in Timbs v State of Indiana that state governments must abide by the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition on the imposition of “excessive fines” for criminal offenses.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (February 20, 2019) — West Second Street is being closed between Gaines and Warren Streets for a water main break.  Brown Street is closed at 3rd St and at River Drive.

Individuals can access the Centennial bridge using 3rd or 4th Street to Gaines. Repairs are estimated to be complete, and the roads re-opened sometime Friday.
