Mathias Ham Historic Site Named People's Choice Site of the Year

CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (April 4, 2019) — The Mathias Ham Historic Site has been named the Silos and Smokestacks "People's Choice Site of the Year." The Grout Museum District in Waterloo and Brucemore in Cedar Rapids were both honored as being one of the top-three sites.

Rep Abby Finkenauer Steps up to the Plate on Biodiesel Tax Credit

ANKENY, IOWA (April 4, 2019) — Iowa’s biodiesel-producers, soybean-farmers, and fuel-distributors today praised first-term US Representative Abby Finkenauer for introducing a House bill that would extend a biodiesel tax-incentive for 2019, as well as retroactively for 2018. Congress allowed the biodiesel and renewable-diesel tax-credit to lapse since 2017, upsetting market-dynamics and stymying future growth for a promising American energy-industry.
