MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (August 20, 2024) — Through applications, campus visits, and registering for fall semester courses, students in the Class of 2028 and transfer students had already indicated their interest in attending Monmouth College.

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA (August 19, 2024) — Taylor Christine Barros of Davenport, Iowa, was among 569 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during a combined graduate- and undergraduate-commencement ceremony August 17 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Barros earned a Master of Education from the Office of Graduate Studies.

Chancellor Rodney D Bennett presided over the commencement ceremony.

ANKENY, IOWA (August 19, 2024) — The Iowa Biodiesel Board and Iowa Soybean Association expressed disappointment and concern over the California Air Resources Board’s recently proposed amendments to its groundbreaking Low Carbon Fuel Standard. If adopted, these changes would impose caps on credits for soy- and canola-based biodiesel and renewable diesel.

DES MOINES, IOWA (August 16, 2024) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird has joined a 21-state coalition in a letter to Temu, a Chinese-based online marketplace, demanding information on its ties to slave labor and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The letter follows concerns that Temu is profiting off of slave labor, breaking consumer protection laws, and violating Americans’ data privacy.
