Delve into WWII History with Michael Eckers, an author, historian, and public speaker at Main (321 Main Street) on Wednesday, May 2 at 6:00pm. The Home Front was the stage for numerous courageous and individual contributions to pursuing liberties that supported the war effort. Michael's presentation focuses on events and actions of the Home Front and Iowa communities.

There will be a book signing with Michael after the presentation.

Davenport Fire Public Education Officer Lt. Zach Soliz advises that Operation Prom is Thursday, April 19, at Central High School and Friday, April 20, at North High School.   Students will be dismissed at 9:30AM and the program begins at 9:45AM both days.  At Central, the event will be staged in the south parking lot off Main Street and at North, the staging area is in the lot next to the Y.  Look for the emergency vehicles.
