The first annual Power of Wo is an awareness-raising musical event that both celebrates women in the musical arts in the Eastern Iowa/ Western Illinois area of the Quad Cities region and supports local women in need. Not only does this event spotlight local women artists and musicians, but it serves to provide women in need with feminine hygiene products and basic items of necessity.

DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate will host a two-day College Voter Engagement Summit this Friday and Saturday at the State Capitol to help prepare students for the 2018 elections and identify best practices for non-partisan voter registration drives on campus.
