ADELPHI, MARYLAND (July 24, 2024) — Jacqueline Langa Tangbobito of Davenport, Iowa earned a(n) Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from University of Maryland Global Campus in Spring 2024.

Tangbobito was one of more than 14,000 students worldwide who earned degrees from UMGC in the 2023-24. Graduates came from all fifty states, three US territories, and 24 countries.

DES MOINES, IOWA (July 23, 2024) — This summer, the Iowa Environmental Council announced its newest education and awareness campaign, “Iowa Water Watchdogs.” The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness about the risks of cyanotoxin poisoning in dogs that come into contact with harmful algae blooms in Iowa’s natural waterways.
