Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) have become a major concern for American motorists who have been involved in a minor collision. According to new research from AAA, advanced systems such as automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning and others, can cost twice as much to repair following a collision due to expensive sensors and their calibration requirements.

Singer-songwriter Mandy Harvey, a former contestant on “America’s Got Talent,”will be in residence Oct. 29 through Nov. 3. Her visit is part of year’s Visiting Artist Series from Quad City Arts.

Davenport, IA The 10th Annual Holiday Hat Bash presented by VanDerGinst Law is just around the corner on Thursday, November 15th and begins 5:30pm at CASI. Join us at the Hat Bash as we once again make holidays special for Quad Cities Seniors, providing holiday gifts and services all year long. Last year’s event raised over $30,000 and helped hundreds of seniors.

The TaxSlayer Center is currently in search of their 2018 Christmas tree to be displayed in the arena's circle drive throughout the holiday season. The tree will also be featured at the annual Lighting on the Commons Ceremony to be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018.

The Quad City Storm has traded defenseman Troy Henley to the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs to finalize the deal that sent forward Phil Bronner from Roanoke to the Storm. Bronner recorded an assist on the first goal in Storm history opening night.

The Storm is also announcing that this Friday’s game will feature $2 beers to thank fans for the support shown on opening night.

East Moline, IL – Gregg Johnson, Democratic candidate for Illinois State Senate District 36, announced at a campaign stop on Sunday that he will donate his entire legislative salary to local non-profits hurt by the 700-day budget crisis created by Governor Rauner and State Senator Anderson.

The Mississippi River is finally receding, after cresting for a second time this month.  The second crest of 16.86FT was reached yesterday, Monday, October 23.  With this crest, the river is projected to fall below 15FT by Monday, October 30.   It is likely the river will not fall below 13FT until late next week.

The current river level is 16.76.  Roads, trails and facilities will re-open as the river falls, debris can be removed, and areas cleaned.
