Free Educational Workshop for to Help People Better Manage Side Effects Clinton, IA (December) – Gilda’s Club will host Frankly Speaking About Cancer: Treatments and Side Effects – a free workshop for people cancer patients and their caregivers.  Designed to help people understand and manage the physical and psychological side effects of treatment, the workshop will take place on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, from 6:00 to 7:300 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church (439 3rd Avenue South).

Light it Up! The Annual Christmas Walk Scheduled

On Thursday afternoon, November 2nd, six organizations received 2017 FACE Community Impact grants at a presentation held at the Masonic Lodge.  This year seventeen applications for grants were received with a total of almost $11,600 being requested for various local projects and services.  FACE (Fulton’s community foundation and a component fund of the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend) was able to respond to $4,000 of those requests.  The recipients were as follows:

Tickets are on sale starting November 15th at the Amana Colonies Visitor’s Center and at the Amana Arts Guild and will also be available at each home on the days of the event.  The $10 cost is for the entire tour.  Children under 12 free.

Des Moines, Iowa (November 15, 2017) - More than 200 delegates from the Iowa Association of School Board's (IASB) member school districts and area education agencies (AEAs) gathered at the annual Delegate Assembly on Nov. 15 to conduct the annual meeting and determine the platform for the 2018 legislative session. Each board appoints one board member as delegate to represent their organization's views.
