DAVENPORT, Iowa - Six months after the return of the World Series of Drag Racing presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts to Cordova International Raceway in Cordova, Ill., was announced, the time has come - the World Series of Drag Racing begins today in the Quad-Cities.  Race officials, local dignitaries and competitors previewed this weekend's event during a news conference at Rhythm City Casino Resort, the event's official resort.

Bandits clinch post-season with 5-2 win over Snappers Thursday
 
BELOIT, Wisc. -- The Quad Cities River Bandits punched their ticket to the 2017 Midwest League playoffs with a 5-2 win over the Beloit Snappers on a chilly Thursday night at Pohlman Field. Chaz McCormick had three hits and an RBI to lead the way while Robert Corniel earned the playoff-clinching win with three scoreless innings of relief.

CHICAGO (Aug. 24, 2017) – Gov. Bruce Rauner today signed a series of criminal justice bills. The six bills emphasize his commitment to reforming Illinois’ criminal justice system and providing offenders a second chance.
