DES MOINES, IOWA (July 3, 2024) — The Iowa Finance Authority Board of Directors today awarded a total of more than $10.6 million in federal housing tax credits to support the construction and rehabilitation of a total of 404 affordable rental homes for Iowans. The awards were made to ten rental housing projects located in Burlington, Charles City, Davenport, Des Moines, Jefferson, Knoxville, Mount Pleasant, Oskaloosa, and Spirit Lake.

FAYETTE, IOWA (July 3, 2024) — Upper Iowa University (UIU) has announced it has earned the 2024-2025 Military Friendly School designation.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2024-2025 survey with 537 earning special awards for going above the standard.

WEST HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT (July 2, 2024) — The University of Hartford is pleased to announce that Jenna Willet of Eldridge has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester.

The Dean's List recognizes students achieving superior academic standing. The requirement, with some exceptions, is a grade-point average of at least 3.0 and no grade below C.

Licensed clinical professional counselor Megan McGruder has been named to the position that helps support Monmouth students' mental-health needs. She's spent the past nine years in a related role at nearby Knox College.

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS (July 1, 2024) — Autumn Kelly of Davenport, Iowa, graduated from Emmanuel College on Saturday, May 18, 2024, during the College's 102nd Commencement Exercises on its campus in Boston. Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice during the ceremony. Kelly graduated cum laude.
