Many Iowans have felt the effects of skin cancer. If detected and removed early, skin cancer is almost always curable. Our family was fortunate in that my wife’s cancer was caught early and had not spread, but there are many who are not that lucky.

(DES MOINES) – Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation Thursday for Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette and Winneshiek counties in response to severe weather on July 19.

The governor’s proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of the severe weather. The proclamation also activates the Iowa Individual Assistance program for qualifying residents of the four counties.
