WASHINGTON -- The Coast Guard  announced June 30, 2017 that it is seeking applications for membership on the National Boating Safety Advisory Council.

The National Boating Safety Advisory Council operates under the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act and was established under the authority of 46 United States Code 13110 to advise the Coast Guard on boating safety regulations and other major boating safety matters.

As Iowans come together to recognize the founding of our nation, we must also take time to remember the men and women who have fought for the freedoms we treasure. As a parent of two military children and a former member of the House Armed Services Committee, I know that our service members and their families have made great sacrifices and have courageously served our nation.

HAMPTON, Ill. (June 29, 2017) – Musical duo Kickin’ Back kicks off the 4th of July weekend with a free, live show at Illiniwek Forest Preserve campground pavilion on Saturday, July 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The public is invited to come out, celebrate the 4th of July and enjoy music in the park with family and friends.
