Meredith Skala honored for her great work with students

Bill reduces bureaucracy and allows state institutions, including universities, to operate more efficiently and effectively

URBANA (Aug. 9, 2017) – Gov. Bruce Rauner today signed Senate Bill 8, a bipartisan bill that makes the state procurement process more efficient and transparent, thus saving money for Illinois taxpayers.

Elections Slated for Sept. 12, 2017 Des Moines, Iowa - On Tuesday, Sept. 12, Iowans will head to the polls to vote for the men and women who will govern the education of more than 483,000 students. Local communities elect school board members every other year for four-year terms; in some cases, a majority of seats will be open. The Iowa Association of School Boards (IASB) urges the public to make education a priority by paying attention to local campaigns and voting on Sept. 12.

The Iowa Federation of Labor will be hosting a Forum of the current candidates for Governor.

All currently announced candidates have been invited.

CHICAGO (Aug. 9, 2017) – Continuing his push for criminal justice reform, Gov. Bruce Rauner today signed Senate Bill 1413, which allows men and women to receive their birth certificate for no fee upon their release from the Department of Corrections.
