Iowa corn farmers have been dodging April showers this month to get a start on corn planting.

West Branch, Iowa— Erin Anfinson will be the 2017 Artist-in-Residence at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site. The Artist-in-Residence Program promotes creative means of communicating the park's national significance and its relevance to park visitors. Anfinson will be in residence during June and the early part of July. She will lead a free public presentation on Saturday, June 24 at 2 p.m. in the Visitor Center.

Dawson homers, drives in three in 8-5 loss
