SCOTT COUNTY COUPLE WINS FIRST TOP PRIZE OF $50,000 ON NEW SCRATCH GAME

CLIVE, Iowa, July 19, 2017 – A Scott County couple has been playing the new “Cash Lift” scratch game, and one small win turned into one big $50,000 win.

Roylee Richardson, 47, of Buffalo said his wife, Farrah, 40, bought him a Cash Lift ticket and he won $10 on it.

“I went and turned it in, got more tickets, of the same ticket,” explained Roylee. “It’s just, I don’t know, it’s just I kept sticking to that game.”

The band will play special music and lead the singing of hymns in the Dixieland style. The Vacation Bible School children will also present a message and sing.

Lawmakers Introduce Bill to Restore Regulatory Accountability

WASHINGTON – A group of lawmakers, including Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), introduced legislation to restore checks and balances in the federal government by curbing the spread of executive branch power grabs made through agencies’ broad interpretation of congressional intent.  The Separation of Powers Restoration Act clarifies that the courts, not agencies, have the authority to independently interpret the law.
