Arrowhead residents have volunteered at the John Deere Classic for 38 years. They will be doing it again this year. One week to ten days prior to the John Deere Classic, Arrowhead residents and staff will set up over 3 miles of fence to get the course ready for the start of the tournament. During the week of the tournament, the youth and staff are on ecology duty, or collecting garbage from all over the course.

Des Moines, July 5, 2017— The Iowa Supreme Court named Todd Nuccio state court administrator for the Iowa Judicial Branch. The state court administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management of Iowa's state court system. Nuccio will replace David Boyd when Boyd retires September 7 after 40 years of continual service to the Iowa Judicial Branch.

WICHITA, Kan. (July 5, 2017) - Wichita State University has announced the names of more than 2,700 students who were on the WSU dean's honor roll for spring 2017. Amoung those honored was Lindsay M Larkin from Davenport, IA. To be included on the dean's honor roll, a student must be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced today the proposed Renewable Volume Obligations (RVO) for the 2018 conventional biofuels requirement at 15 billion gallons under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). As race fans head to the Iowa Speedway for the Iowa Corn 300 this Sunday, we are pleased to see the EPA hitting the statutory target for corn ethanol.
