Quad Cities – To kick off Tourism Week, the Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau (QCCVB) announces today a new program for visitors.

Branstad has ordered all flags on the Capitol Complex to be flown at half-staff from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017, in observance of the Iowa Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony which is to be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Oran Pape State Office Building of the Iowa Department of Public Safety, on the Capitol Complex.

Here’s a riddle for ya: What has three legs, dozens of voices, and only one eye? Answer: The Rock Town Lit Fest!

The Mississippi Valley Blues Society, which organizes an all-volunteer, award-winning festival, will kick off its 32nd Annual Blues Fest on Friday, June 30th. Gates open at 4:00pm Friday, and 12:00 noon on Saturday, with music beginning promptly in the extended beer tent.  The 2-day festival will be held at its traditional location in LeClaire Park, Davenport, IA.
