DAVENPORT, IOWA (June 15, 2023) — The Federal Railroad Administration has announced $7.8 million in grant funding awarded to the City of Davenport through the Railroad Crossing Elimination Grant Program for the design and construction of an overpass and elevated roadway on South Concord Street near West River Drive. The program provides funding for highway-rail or pathway-rail grade crossing improvement projects that focus on improving the safety and mobility of people and goods.

INDIANOLA, IOWA (June 15, 2023) — Simpson College (simpson.edu) announced that 147 students made the President's List for the Spring 2023 semester. Students named to the President's List achieved a 4.00 grade-point average.

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI (June 15, 2023) — Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the Dean's List.

For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least twelve credit hours during the spring semester and at least a 3.50 GPA (on a 4.00 scale).

Samantha Roemer from Bettendorf (52722) made the list. Roemer was among more than 4,700 students named to the spring 2023 Dean's List.
