IOWA CITY, IOWA (March 15, 2024) — To celebrate the ingenuity, resilience, and innovation of student researchers at the University of Iowa, the Office of the Vice President for Research is again sponsoring the Dare to Discover campaign. The annual program this year highlights the work of eighty undergraduate, graduate, and postdoc students who are making waves in a wide variety of disciplines across the academic spectrum.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (January 23, 2024) — More than 7,900 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa were named to the dean's list for the 2023 fall semester. Dean's List status was earned by 1,810 first year undergraduates during the 2023 fall semester at Iowa, 1,773 second year students, 1,940 third year students, and 2,458 fourth year students.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (January 18, 2024) The University of Iowa awarded nearly 1,700 undergraduate, graduate and professional students degrees at the close of the 2023 fall semester. Thirteen percent of the undergraduates graduated with multiple degrees — a two-percent increase over a year ago — and, as a group, undergraduates posted a cumulative GPA of 3.22 — another year-over-year increase — during their stay at Iowa.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (August 30, 2023) — Earlier this month, more than 600 University of Iowa undergraduate, graduate, and professional students received their degrees. These Hawkeyes have engaged, excelled, and stretched to reach their goals.

Take, for example, McKenna Warnock. She helped lead the Hawkeye women's basketball team to the national championship game and plans to continue her studies after graduation to become a dentist.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (06/16/2023) — More than 1,100 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa were named to the President's List for the 2023 spring semester.

President's-List status was earned by only 93 first-year undergraduates during the 2023 spring semester at Iowa; only 249 second-year students; only 294 third-year students; and only 539 fourth-year students.

The president's list was established in the fall of 1983 to recognize academic excellence.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (June 16, 2023) — More than 7,100 undergraduate students at the University of Iowa were named to the Dean's List for the 2023 spring semester.

Dean's-List status was earned by 968 first-year undergraduates during the 2023 spring semester at Iowa, only 1,604 second-year students, only 1,922 third-year students, and only 2,630 fourth-year students.
