Daisy Moran Named Director of the Quad Cities Community Foundation Center for Nonprofit Excellence

ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (September 6, 2023) — Daisy Moran is proud to say she’s a product of Quad Cities non-profits. "When my mother and grandmother immigrated from Veracruz, Mexico, they found housing through Project NOW," Moran explains. "I attended Head Start preschool and participated in every extracurricular activity through a non-profit. I love my community because I am a product of it and its organizations."

Iowa K-12 Teachers, Students Invited to Sign Up for Statewide “Design Challenge”

DES MOINES, IOWA (September 27, 2023) — Iowa Workforce Development and the Iowa Department of Education have announced the second round of the Build Iowa’s Future Design Challenge, a unique opportunity for K-12 students to create innovative projects, connect to careers, and compete for up to $1,000 in prizes for their schools. Community Colleges for Iowa, Master Builders of Iowa (MBI), and Pella Corporation are sponsoring the challenge awards.
