DES MOINES, IOWA (April 6, 2023) — State Auditor Rob Sand today urged leaders in Iowa’s rural communities to apply for funding from the Energy Improvements in Rural or Remote Areas (ERA) program. ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS (April 6, 2023) – Volunteers with the American Red Cross Disaster Action Team responded to five home fires in the past week and in Moline, Astoria, Creve Coeur, Galesburg, Philadelphia, and Bettendorf.

Red Cross volunteers helped thirty people with temporary housing, meals, health services, disaster mental-health services, financial assistance, and information about recovery planning.
