DES MOINES, IOWA (July 12, 2023) — Six new members were recently appointed to the Iowa Developmental Disabilities Council (Iowa DD Council) by Governor Kim Reynolds. The new members, who will serve three-year terms, are dedicated to making Iowa more inclusive for individuals with disabilities.

IOWA CITY, IOWA (July 12, 2023) — The Iowa Cancer Consortium, Iowa’s statewide comprehensive cancer coalition, was awarded a $70,000 sponsorship by biotechnology company Genentech. The sponsorship will support equity training and programmatic initiatives to equitably reduce the cancer burden in Iowa.

CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA (July 12, 2023) — Julia Houghton of Pleasant Valley, Iowa (52767), was named to the College of Charleston Spring 2023 Dean's List. Houghton is majoring in International Studies and Political Science.

To qualify for President's List (Highly Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.800 or higher and complete a minimum of fourteen semester hours.
