DES MOINES, IOWA (November 15, 2022) — Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller announced today that he and a coalition of attorneys-general have reached a $3.1 billion settlement with Walmart to resolve allegations that the company contributed to the opioid crisis by failing to appropriately oversee the dispensing of opioids at its stores. DES MOINES, IOWA (November 14, 2022) — Attorney General Tom Miller announced today that Iowa, along with 39 other attorneys-general, has reached a $391.5 million multistate settlement with Google over its location-tracking practices relating to Google Account settings. This is the largest multistate attorney-general privacy settlement in the history of the US. Iowa will receive $6.17 million from the settlement.
