Monmouth College's New Chaplain to Give First Campus Sermon at Ash Wednesday Service

MONMOUTH, ILLINOIS (February 17, 2023) — Themes of connection and resurrection will be at the forefront at Monmouth College on February 22, when the school's new chaplain, the Rev Dr John Huxtable ('04), leads an ecumenical Ash Wednesday service.

Open to the public, the half-hour service will begin at 12:05PM in the College's Dahl Chapel and Auditorium.

Later, on Ash Wednesday, at 3PM, a Catholic Mass will be held in Dahl Chapel.

DES MOINES, IOWA (February 17, 2023) — Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird helped lead a multistate lawsuit against the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) over its interpretation of “Waters of the United States.” The new rule modifies that definition to dramatically expand the power of the federal government.

DES MOINES, IOWA (February 17, 2023) — Governor Kim Reynolds signed HF161 into law, a bill to create a cap on non-economic damages in cases regarding medical malpractice. The legislation balances the needs of injured patients with the needs of all Iowans to have access to quality health care. In response, Gov Reynolds released the following statement:
