DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 21, 2022) — Gilda’s Club is hosting a FREE educational workshop entitled “Why Do Yoga? Benefits of Yoga Workshop” for anyone impacted by cancer on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, 6-7PM, at Gilda’s Club Quad Cities Davenport Clubhouse, located 1351 West Central Park Ave, Suite 200, Davenport, Iowa, 52804.

DES MOINES, IOWA (December 21, 2022) — A Utah-based bank must cease issuing loans in Iowa that exceed the state’s interest-rate cap and provide refunds to consumers who were charged the illegal interest rates under a settlement reached with Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller and the Iowa Division of Banking.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (December 20, 2022) — Waste Commission of Scott County facilities will close at noon Friday, December 23, and will remain closed through Monday, December 26. Facilities will reopen on Tuesday, December 27.

The Landfill will be open normal hours on Saturday, December 31. Facilities will be closed Monday, January 2, in observance of New Year’s Day. All facilities will reopen Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

We are accepting donations of clean and gently-used dresses, suits, blazers, dress pants, ties, bow-ties, and formal purses, BUT NO shoes or jewelry at this time.
