DES MOINES, IOWA (April 18, 2022) — Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 3.3 percent in March – down from 3.5 percent in February and from 4.4 percent one year ago. The US March unemployment rate decreased to 3.6 percent.

The labor force participation rate increased to 67.2 percent in March from 67 percent in February.

DAVENPORT, IOWA (April 14, 2022) — The Davenport Public Library will host a program about Haitian Art April 23 at Eastern and Virtually.

Join Figge educator, Kelsey Vandercoy, for a talk all about Haitian art. The Figge Art Museum houses one of the world’s largest collections of Haitian art outside of Haiti itself. Kelsey will give a brief presentation about the basic of Haitian art and why the Figge has so much of it, followed by a hands-on art activity related to the lesson.

Iowa’s Safe at Home program provides a substitute address for survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, assault, trafficking, and stalking. The program is administered by the Iowa Secretary of State’s Office.
